Conferences and the social side of academic life

I like attending conferences as I always meet interesting people and get to hear about the most recent research that oterwise might pass me by. In 2014, I attended five international conferences on a wide range of topics. The year was a very busy one for me, both academically and personally. However, the hectic year of working paid off as I got three of my papers published (some out in 2015).

Durham, UK: Death Online research Symposium
Carlingford, Ireland: Myth and the Market
Helsinki, Finland: Gender and Marketing
Budapest, Hungary: CADAAD
Lisbon, Portugal: ECREA
