I travelled to Budapest to attend CADAAD in August, 2014, with my colleague from Aalto University, and found myself sick with fever and sore throat the very morning of the flight. Despite being ill for the first few days, my presentation ‘Employee Enticement: Talent as the (mis)Leading Rhetorical Construct’ on the first day of the conference went smoothly and I received some useful feedback. I worried about losing my voice due to a sore throat, but the warm Budapest air seemed to sort it out.
The conference was one of the best I attended in 2014, with interesting presentations as well as good new connections. Looking forward to going back to Budapest later in 2015, only this time it’s all leisure and not work.
